In January 2026, we organized a winter rehabilitation camp for children of service members
Children who live daily under the pressure of war, air raid alerts, and shelling were given an opportunity to spend a week in a stable and secure environment. Many families continue to face energy disruptions, including power outages and cold homes. At the camp, there was consistent heating and electricity, ensuring basic comfort.
The core of the program was seven days of skiing under the supervision of professional instructors. Daily time on the slopes was combined with structured physical activity, team interaction, and psychological support sessions. For many participants, this was their first experience with skiing.
A clear daily schedule, proper meals, and professional supervision allowed the children not only to rest but to rebuild physical and emotional resilience. The winter session provided a shift from constant tension toward movement, discipline, and healthy peer engagement.
The rehabilitation program will continue with additional sessions planned for the coming months.
